Working nights

Last night Jacqui and I worked at the University for thier late night safe study program. We started at 10 PM and worked until 6 in the morning. It was quite a night. We probally had about 300-400 people walk though the door to get popcorn or cofee. It's a easy job and I enjoyed it.

We're doing the same job tonight and tomorrow night so we'll see how that goes. I didn't fall asleep till about 6:30 AM so I did make it though the night. Yah!

Last couple of weeks

Well I finally did it. It only took a couple fo posts but I finally ran out of things to write about on a daily basis. Just last night was something exciting. I had a work meeting. (woo hoo!) At least I got paid for it.

Our company has decided to provide travel insurenace to all employees that have to travel for work purposes. This means that EVERYTIME I am at work driving I have this extra protection ontop of all the other ones I have with work. I guess I can now hit a lexus and be fine! LOL!!! JK!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comes out on the 18th and Jacqui is excited about that. My Christmas party is on the 19th and I'm still unsure about that. I think it'll be alright tho.

Foamy

Last night I discovered a website that I forgot about for a long time. The website can be found at www.illwillpress.com and it has a very funny squirrel named Foamy. I really suggest that everyone takes a look at the toons section of the site and enjoy watching the videos. Now it does contain some really strong language so watch out for that (and if you like that sort of thing then turn up the speakers some more).

I was bored in studying for a Math Exam so I was looking around the internet and found it. It just shows that studying may be what you're supposed to be doing but what you're actually doing may be really off.

As a side note Friday Jacqui is going to Swan River to visit her Baba and family there with her Mom. I'm going to be all on my lonesome till Sunday...Maybe one of my friends will give me a call. (get a hint!)

Killing myself for 12.5%

This weekend I practically KILLED myself, all in the name of 12.5%. It really sucks when you think about it doesn't it? Let me explain.

A business plan was due on Monday night for a commerce class that Jacqui and I are in. Now having other projects to take care of when I came hone from work at 3 PM on Saturday I proceeded to spend the rest of the day working on this project until I went to bed (somewhere around 11:30 PM) Being at work from 6:30 AM until 3PM ment that I got to go and have supper with my in-laws, then head to my grandmothers and have cake (her 74th Birthday on Sunday) and then head home and contine to write a paper for 4 hours until midnight.

Monday morning I avoided all my classes like the plague working though the entire day to finish this project. That was over 14 hours of working on Monday in order to finish this project.

Now for all this work I walk into the class that it is due for and Jacqui hears that other groups spent 5 hours working together on their business plans. Now there are more people in those groups but I think they did something wrong if it only took 5 people 5 hours of working together to complete it. (Ever work in a group? You never get 5 hours of work done in a 5 hour meeting...and you only get about 2 hours done if you work with Commerce students)

Tuesday has rolled around and Jacqui and I have two exams on Wednesday and Thursday...We feel awful becasue we KILLED ourselves on that damm business plan. We better get the full 12.5% (But I know we won't so look for my name in next weeks obits LOL!)

Isn't school fun?

Could the city be any slower

It only took months...Months on one of saskatoon's most important pieces of road but it is finally done. 25th street construction is finished right down to the painted lines. I spent about 8 hours today at work and I was driving on that road every 20 minutes. Now to those who need to go between hospitals (and mainly City of University Hospital) It can be really crappy when your main road is closed and you have to go down side streets instead. I'm sure the health region is happy about that too as it speeds up our response time at work and increased patient care.

I'm just happy that it's open again as it was a shitty summer with it closed.

The Simpsons

I think that my all time favorite T.V. series must be "The Simpsons". Something about Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Milhouse, Mr. Burns, Smithers, Patty & Semla, Skinner, Edna K., Krusty, and all the rest just make me smile. Today on CTV Newsnet there was a story where "The Simpsons" are being put on Arab T.V. Arab television network MBC is going to air "The Simpsons" but they are going to change a number of things which just Piss me off.

-Homer is going to be Omar
-Homer will drink Soda and not Beer
-Homer will not eat Pork (those scenes will be removed)
-Doughnuts will be replaced by an arab cake type thing
And they will not ba called "The Simpsons" but something in Arabic that I can't say or type out.

I loved when they talked with a producer for the show and they said that if Homer wasn't eating pork and drinking beer that it wouldn't be the same show.

Damm Arabs for ruining the things that I love.

Walking Sucks

Monday I discovered how much that walking sucks. Recently I've told people that I'm now walking to University and Back each day. That is about 5 kilometres round trip. Now this is a good thing as it keeps me healthy and teaches my knees to "suck it up" and to keep going. I think Monday was the kicker.

First I worked all weekend which is a lot of walking in it's own right. I probally walked for about 4 hours this weekend ending my shift at 2400 hours Sunday. Then I walked to school at 0730 Monday and proceeded to walk around campus in each academic building on each floor and put up posters for University Events. Sure I'm getting paid for it but it is a few hours worht of walking. Then go and sit in class and watch a video that I've already seen and then Walk another 45 minutes back home.

While walking may be good for you it really sucks!

A new blog

I've always done websites but I've always had a problem with making a personal website for me. There must be something that is really hard about making something that is about you. Making a site about something else is really easy becasue you have something to work with. But your own life...everyone thinks that their lives are so boring so why would they make a site devoted to how boring their lives are.

I tried to make a site but failed before I even published it. A blog should be something that I do every day. Hopefully this page will give some insight into my life and help my friends remember who I am.
